TED is committed to promoting ideas worth spreading, and we believe Senator Fulbright sparked one of the most influential ideas of the century! The Fulbright Scholarship Program nurtures mutual understanding and respect across cultures by the exchange of compassionate, socially-aware individuals, serving as ambassadors across all fields of professional and academic engagement. TED and TEDx, similarly, have shown immense promise in furthering ideas for the benefit of all societies in a way that is both personable [revolutionary storytell­ing], powerful [demonstrating incredible feats of intellect, creativ­ity, and collaboration], and open [talks for a general audience and freely available]. Every day, we aim to support this community of thought leaders, uniquely global and fiercely proactive. And we are privileged to share our events with the world via live events and webcasts as well as following the event with professionally produced talk videos and continued networking. It is our last­ing wish to provide Fulbright-minded professionals, students, and changemakers of all sorts with an interactive framework to most effectively excite and gather others to join efforts in working for the sake of humanity’s progress.
