Cristina shares her journey into movies that matter. She talks about her adventures as a way to explain how we all have the power to make a difference through whatever it is that we are most passionate about. 

Biography

Cristina Trenas has always been involved in the field of communications, building all kinds of stories for all kind of causes, organizations and brands. Among others, Cristina has been part of the American Red Cross in Washington, D.C, the United Nations Headquarters in New York, National Geographic, the BBVA Microfinance Foundation in Peru, the Organization of Iberoamerican States and DDB in Berlin.

Cristina's journey into movies that matter began as a result of her two biggest passions, traveling and filmmaking.

 

Throughout the past years she has worked in a series of documentaries across Latin America and Asia attempting to create content that can make a difference. Following her belief that the media has the power to shape our perception of the world and encourage social change, Cristina did a masters degree in Media, Communication & Development at the London School of Economics. She is now thrilled to be in Los Angeles with a Fulbright Scholarship to study filmmaking in the epicenter of the movie industry.
